Guideline and advice for photos.

How to send a copy -

Get a copy of your photo from your local photography shop. They can create a copy of a photo for you and email us and we will be in touch with regard to posting the photo.

How to take a photo using your phone.

It is important when taking a photo using your phone not to use the flash as this will leave a white glare on the photo hiding parts of the photo. Instead we recommend you take the photo in a well light area away from a light source (such as a lamp or direct light) .

Position the phone directly above the image as if you are placing the phone onto the image. This will ensure the photo is taken at the right angle. if you have difficulty doing this you can rest the photo against an object such as a mug. Place you phone on the surface directly in front of the photo. This will give you a steady shot. If there is a slight angle don’t worry, allow for extra space around the photo for cropping.

Photo restores.

We will always try to do a restore of your photo when we receive it. This will always be a colour restore (bringing it back to the original colour). Sometime we can improve the sharpness of the photo. If you photo is black and white or Sepia (brownish colour) we can try to bring the photo into colour for you. For this if you can tell us of the colours the person is wearing including eye and hair colour, we will try our best to bring your photo to colour.

What if my photo has a tear?

No worries- we can try to fix this as well. Sometimes over the years photos can get a tear or even be broken in half. We have the knowledge which might be able to join the pieces together and restore the photo back to what it once was.

Who works on the photos?

The photo restoration it undertaken by ANIM-Photography. ANIM Photography offer this service free of charge to people wishing to contribute to Prizon school website. Stephen Ansbro will mainly be working on the restoration of the photos and will try his best to restore the photo to the best of his abilities.

Photos can be sent to our email directly or through Facebook.
